I’ve been able to communicate with Spirit People since a child, but really I only decided to take my gifts to the next level in 2002. My school years were very difficult; bullied, ridiculed and ever less popular through being different led to me being one of few men who left school having never sat an exam. This meant unfortunately that my education had been deeply affected, hardly able to read or write I gained a position at St Helen’s College where I studied hairdressing. Attending the college gave me some of the happiest years of my whole life.

Keen to encourage my flair in hairdressing my parents sacrificed personal savings and bought me a hairdressing business in St Helen’s, enabling me to further my ambitions at that time. Now it is a successful chain of Salons and a household name in the North. Just goes to show all of you out there who may feel they have failed in their education – hold onto your dreams and just have belief in yourself that you can be anything you want to be, a business person, pop star or top chef. Just go for it and explore your potential.

I was blessed the shop went from strength to strength. I met my fantastic wife Andrea and we married. To this day we are very happy. I have always leaned towards the Arts and creativity and one day out of the blue I broke my life-long secret and told Andrea that I could talk to people in the next life. She smiled and replied “nothing surprises me about you David”.

Even though I was running my own business I began to take English and Drama tuition for some unknown reason, and I say this because it wasn’t that I was unhappy in the role of a hairdresser, but I had an inbuilt drive telling me to educate myself – this I did. I became a student of Drama and in this period of my life I had an insatiable appetite for Theatre.

The Medium

It was around this time I met Barry my Spiritual Brother and closest Friend and my Soul Mate. Even though it is common belief that we only have one soul-mate, I have two; Andrea my wife and Barry. They helped me so much their support was and still is immeasurable.

Barry joined me on my quest for Spiritual development supporting me through all my changes whilst Andrea ran our business and kept our home going. It was a difficult time but I must thank Jane Blackburn who first insisted I develop my gifts and advised me to go to the Purple Light Spiritualist Centre Chorley and June Linn, my eternal friend and of course Jim Roe, my mentor. Jim gave me so much and asked for nothing in return, such a superb man. My Mediumship and reputation grew and whilst riding this wave of popularity I met my Publisher Brian Prescott and my first website designer and manager Glyn. Both stood strong at my side helping me combat everything that has been thrown at me. Their input has been invaluable. The strength and belief that all these people, and indeed you the Public, have in me only gives me more of a reason to continue in my public role.

I am blessed with Jason, my Spirit Guide monk and life-long friend. He works so closely with me, he clears my path and helps me connect to all our loved ones in the Afterlife.
